Expected moves & catalyst outcomes

This page describes how Scouter AI builds the weekly Expected Moves grid, archives past catalyst reactions, and what appears on public /quote pages versus subscriber-only analysis.

Weekly grid

Each trading day we surface a fixed number of tickers with identifiable near-term catalysts (earnings, FDA, M&A, macro-linked names, etc.). The grid is refreshed on a market-week cadence and cached for fast loads on /moves. Cards link to per-ticker quote pages for crawlable discovery.

Historical outcomes (public)

When a catalyst date passes, we record whether price action resolved toward the bull or bear scenario (or neutral), approximate percent move to the outcome window, and a short reason snippet when available. Public quote pages show a historical catalyst table and an AI-written historical takeaway grounded only in past events — not forward price targets.

Search intent & SEO

We mine long-tail search phrases (Google Suggest plus strategic seeds) per ticker, score niche fit, and optionally validate SERP competitiveness before publishing phrases to quote metadata and structured data. Phrases that imply forward predictions are reframed to historical wording on the public surface.

Subscriber-only data

Upcoming event dates and names may appear in JSON-LD for discovery, but bull/bear price levels, full scenario charts, and deep AI analysis require a Scouter account. See pricing.
